We hiked one of Japan's CRAZIEST trails for a bowl of UDON 🍜

Because we like to put a little adventure in all of our travels, Alex and I decided to attempt one of the craziest hikes in Japan, Mt Nabewari. This mountain is not too far south of Tokyo, and on a good day you can get an amazing view of Mt. Fuji… but the big draw is a huge bowl of Udon you can get at the top of the mountain. A 72 year old man has been hiking straight up the side of Mt Nabewari for 20 years carrying all of the ingredients he needs on his back. So of course, we wanted to see if the udon was worth the strenuous, 5 mile hike. And to make the day even more interesting, we put an Amazing Race twist by needing to be back down to catch the last train of the day...
