JRRMMC-PhilHealth YAKAP with Cancer Screening
PhilHealth's YAKAP program, also known as Yaman ng Kalusugan Para Malayo sa Sakit, is an enhanced primary care benefit package designed to improve access to healthcare for all Filipinos. It offers a range of services, including consultations, laboratory tests, cancer screenings, and essential medicines, all aimed at preventing and detecting diseases early. The program is an expansion of the previous PhilHealth Konsulta program, providing more comprehensive care. Expanded Coverage: YAKAP builds upon the Konsulta program by offering a wider array of free medicines (75 compared to the previous 21), more laboratory tests (19 compared to 13), and cancer screening services. Financial Protection: The program aims to reduce out-of-pocket expenses for members and their dependents, particularly for essential healthcare services. Early Detection: YAKAP emphasizes early disease detection and prevention through various screenings, helping to curb potential financial hardship for members due to illness. Accessibility: The program aims to make essential health services more accessible, especially for workers and underserved communities, by providing coverage at accredited healthcare facilities nationwide. Free Check-ups and Counseling: Free check-ups, counseling, and referrals are still part of the program, building on the previous Konsulta framework. Consultations: Access to consultations with accredited healthcare providers. Laboratory Tests: Coverage for a broader range of laboratory tests, including cancer screenings. Prescription Medicines: Free access to 75 essential medicines for various conditions. Cancer Screenings: Expanded cancer screening services, including mammograms and colonoscopies, are available. How to Avail of the Program: Membership: Ensure you are a PhilHealth member and that your contributions are updated. Registration: Register for the YAKAP program through the eGov PH Super App, selecting your preferred accredited YAKAP clinic. Accredited Clinics: Choose an accredited clinic from the list of providers. Availment: Once registered and with an accredited provider, you can avail of the program's benefits.
