Rishiri Island, Hokkaido. Three years ago, I visited this place again, with Goma and Fuyu... With that thought in mind, this trip began. I checked the weather many times, and worried about Goma's health, before the day of departure arrived. I took the plunge and took time off work, and headed north to try my dream of kayaking on Rishiri Island. This is the prologue, bringing you the beginning of our Rishiri trip.
