Today on Squarefoot, we explore three units at Lanson Place, Hong Kong’s first small 5-star luxury hotel in the heart of bustling Causeway Bay, one of Hong Kong’s premier shopping meccas. The French-style boutique hotel is Hong Kong’s first and only property to be part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, a curated collection of the world’s most exquisite small, independent hotels, with 570 unique properties across more than 90 countries. Lanson Place was freshly redesigned by renowned French interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, known as a “master of luxury.” Famous for his fusion of European elegance with luxurious warmth, Rochon has worked on iconic spaces like Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, Four Seasons, and The Savoy. The building’s stately exterior showcases classical European influences, with its grand columns, stone cladding, and arched windows. The Grand Penthouse spans 2,000 square feet with two bedrooms, it’s the largest unit in the building, perfect for a family of four, and is available only for extended stays. The sleek marble kitchenette is equipped with SMEG appliances, including a toaster, kettle, and Nespresso machine, along with a tall Le Creuset fridge and a discreet dishwasher. The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed with a plush headboard, offering both comfort and elegance. The master bath is beautifully finished in white marble, featuring soft ambient lighting and city views, allowing you to relax in the bathtub while enjoying the skyline. It also includes a Dyson hairdryer and premium toiletries. The second bedroom features a king-size bed accompanied by an elegant bedside table and artisanal lamps, adding a touch of charm. A sleek, fitted marble desk provides sophistication while functioning as a dresser, desk, and TV console. Similar to the master bath, the second ensuite is finished in marble, though in a warmer, natural beige tone. It includes a side-by-side toilet and shower combo along with a bathtub, complemented by end-to-end mirrors and a spacious vanity with wooden drawers. Although this bathroom lacks windows, it remains well-lit. The adjoining walk-in closet offers a rare perk in Hong Kong: a view of Victoria Park, with sheers available for added privacy.
