PORTUGIESISCHES ALLERLEI - Südwest 26 Teil 15 - Von Óbidos nach Chamadouro

The 2026 Southwest Tour - Destination Spain or Portugal. A MIX OF THINGS: That pretty much sums up the day... Bird's-eye view of structures in Óbidos this morning and a flight over the medieval town center. Thunderstorm debris stretching for miles along the highway and elsewhere, of course. Add to that a few detours and landslides. North of Lisbon, the storms hit hard, and the effects are still visible. Roman buildings in Conimbriga - over two thousand years old, with incredibly intricate mosaic floors. A must-see for anyone interested in ancient stones and history. Hilly landscape northeast of Coimbra, driving pleasure guaranteed! Up and down, left and right. And finally, the campsite on the old school grounds in Chamadouro. Plenty of grills, a pool, washing machine, showers, etc. All brand new and cleaned up for a mere twenty bucks. Only the drone has a lake view, though 😉 Regarding the route: We need to start thinking about the return journey. Knowing full well that Portugal offers enough destinations to keep us busy for months. But heading northeast isn't unappealing either, being so far southwest...
