Stellantis: Major recall for over 600,000 diesel vehicles. It's recall time again at Stellantis. This time, however, it doesn't concern the infamous PureTech (learn more here), but the 1.5 BlueHDi, codenamed DV5. According to France Press, the automotive group has ordered a large-scale recall affecting approximately 636,000 units. The affected vehicles are models from the Peugeot, Citroën, Opel, DS, and Fiat brands, produced between 2017 and 2023 and equipped with the 1.5 BlueHDi engine. The campaign was launched due to a potential issue related to premature camshaft chain wear, which could cause engine malfunction, accompanied by unusual noise and, in severe cases, chain breakage. Stellantis specifies that, to date, no accidents or injuries related to the defect have been reported.
