Snowlit Sunrise

I composed this orchestral piece in October 2025, at the time when I was beginning to feel winter approaching. This short symphonic work tells the story of a rising sun above a cold, snow-covered landscape. The piece begins in icy darkness until the piccolo flute introduces the main motif for the first time. Gradually, the scene shifts into a warmer string texture, representing the first rays of sunlight touching the frozen ground—perhaps even revealing animals moving through the snow. As more instruments join, the music steadily grows and comes together in celebration of the sunrise, culminating in a dramatic chord as the sun finally reaches the sky and shines brightly across the winter landscape. For this composition, I wanted to feature a variety of light, magical-sounding instruments, bringing colors such as the glockenspiel, celeste, and triangle into the foreground to enhance the atmosphere and sense of wonder. Composing this piece was a truly immersive and enjoyable experience. I already have several more works in progress, and there may even be a small album on the horizon in collaboration with another composer.
