#football Perivaldo Lúcio Dantas, better known simply as Perivaldo (Itabuna, July 12, 1953 – Rio de Janeiro, July 27, 2017[1]), was a Brazilian footballer who played as a right-back.[2] His style was quite offensive; he was known for his long stride, great speed, and crosses from behind the goal. Biography Career Perivaldo, also known as Peri da Pituba, played for Itabuna early in his career, starting in the youth team in 1971[3]. After attracting the interest of Vitória, he was bought by Bahia[4] in early 1974[3] for 20,000 cruzeiros[5]. In June of the same year, he was loaned to Ferroviário, where he excelled and returned to Bahia in early 1975, becoming an undisputed starter.[3]
