For weeks, Moose River Plains was circled on the calendar. Weather delays, busy schedules, and life kept getting in the way, but this weekend we finally loaded up the Jeep, packed our camping gear, and headed into one of the largest remote wilderness areas in the Adirondacks. With acres and acres of forest, lakes, rivers, dirt roads, wildlife, and endless campsites, Moose River Plains has been on our list for a long time. This trip was about slowing down, exploring new places, spending time together as a family, and finally seeing if this legendary Adirondack destination lived up to the hype.
