🐟 THE MYSTERIOUS "LIARS' POINT" IN SANTA CRUZ! 😮 ARACRUZ - ESPÍRITO SANTO 🕊️– S1.EP237 In this episode of our expedition through Brazil, we woke up in a different setting: no beach this time, but rather the banks of the Piraqueaçu River, in the heart of Santa Cruz, Aracruz (ES). A respectable backyard to start the day! 🚐☀️ 🥖 BREAKFAST WITH THE CARIOCA JEITINHO We woke up early and improvised our breakfast with stale bread and eggs, a tradition that many Cariocas know well. Afterwards, we continued walking to explore the city and show what it's like to live by the river. ⛵ WALK ALONG THE SANTA CRUZ WATERFRONT We visited the square, where the ferry used to cross the river before the bridge was built. We discovered "Ponto dos Liars" (Liars' Point), saw fishing boats, fishmongers, and even fresh sea bass being sold straight from the boats. A real immersion into the local artisanal fishing culture. 🐢 ENCOUNTER WITH SEA TURTLES Walking to Costa das Algas, we reached the mouth of the river, where it meets the sea. There we had one of the most exciting experiences of this trip: we saw sea turtles swimming very close to us!
