Saugatuck Railroad Bridge opening 7-3-15
Several times a year the railroad bridge over the Saugatuck River in Westport is opened for maritime traffic. Connecticut has eight moveable bridges between Cos Cob and Groton. The oldest is in Norwalk and was built in 1896. The newest is in Groton and dates from 1919.
