In this video, I visit the former Suurekivi (Kivioja) missile base in Estonia. During Soviet times, the 8th Anti-Aircraft Missile Division of the 94th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade, military unit 56178-U with the call sign "Concrete," was stationed here. The base was part of the Baltic air defense system and was designed to protect the air approaches to Estonia and the Baltic Sea. The site contains the ruins of military fortifications, the remains of roads, technical sites, and traces of the deployment of anti-aircraft missile systems. In the final years of the USSR, the facility was re-equipped with the S-300 system, becoming one of the few known positions of this type in Estonia.
