Kinjo Yamato Market: A Melting Pot of Flavors Next to the Cantareira Market The Kinjo Yamato Market began as a support center for the Cantareira Market and today is a true cultural melting pot with diverse cuisine options, including Chinese, Japanese, and Arabic. All amidst fruits, vegetables, and the hustle and bustle of the market. Check out this morning of feasting with me: steaming tripe broth, Lebanese man'ouche, the ancient Chinese burger Rou Jia Mo, a hearty shawarma, and a Northeastern pastry at the end of the day. He graduated in dentistry in Brazil. Over the years, the space has been occupied by Japanese, Arab, and Chinese merchants. Today, the market is a rich mosaic of cultures and foods, having been granted to the private sector along with the Cantareira Market in 2021. The space is undergoing extensive renovations, which are being discussed as it is a listed historical site.
