Hey party people, Do you have a trusty, aging road bike with rim brakes and an old mechanical groupset sitting in your basement, but you're finally ready to bring it into the modern age? Then this video is for you! I took a closer look at the WheelTop EDS TX (a completely wireless, electronic groupset for rim brakes), installed it on my road bike, and have been testing it extensively over the past few months. From 3x to 14-speed, the groupset is completely programmable via an app. In the video, I'll show you the unboxing (spoiler alert: a ton of carbon for the price!), the installation, how the setup works via the app, and my honest long-term review after rides in Mallorca, the Mecklenburg Lake District tour, and on the trainer at Zwift. I've got you covered. First things first: Installation and app configuration can be a bit fiddly at first (my friend Fritz and I had a minor meltdown 🛒💥). But with a little patience, the English instructions, and my tips in the video, pretty much anyone can manage it!
