Around 3,000 emergency calls were received within five hours. Hail, torrential rain, and strong gusts of wind triggered numerous emergency responses. Fallen trees blocked roads and railway lines. Rail traffic was disrupted. In Kalchreuth, a regional train was unable to continue its journey due to tree trunks on the tracks. Flight operations at Nuremberg Airport were also temporarily suspended due to the storm cells. Streets were flooded, and water flowed into yards and houses. Several people were injured. According to the report, emergency services were stretched to their limits at times. Even rescue vehicles from the German Life Saving Association (DLRG) were held up by fallen trees. After the storms subsided, cleanup operations began.
