At 45, I'm Still Chasing My Dream | A Message for Anyone Over 40

Lately, at 45, I've been doing a lot of reflecting. Sometimes I find myself wishing I had gone to film school back in 1999. Instead, life took me on a different path. Here I am today: an educator, a storyteller, and someone still chasing a dream that refuses to leave my heart. There are days when I feel like I'm getting closer to my goals, and then there are days when those dreams seem so far away. But I'm learning that life isn't a straight line. It's a journey. We are constantly growing, changing, and evolving. I've given myself permission to feel whatever I feel. Not every day is going to be filled with excitement or euphoria, and that's okay. Some days bring confidence, while others bring doubt. Through it all, I'm grateful for life and grateful for the opportunity to keep moving forward. To everyone in their 40s and beyond: it's okay to have doubts. That doesn't mean you're failing; it means you're human. It's okay to want change. It's okay to reinvent yourself. Just don't stay down. Get back up. Keep believing in yourself and keep taking steps toward what you love. And while you're chasing your dreams, don't forget to appreciate the simple things. The small moments matter too. We're not finished yet. We got this, 40-somethings.
