Plant your feet | Colossians 1:9-12

What does it look like to live a life worthy of the Lord? In Colossians 1:9-12, Paul prays for a church he has never visited. While false teaching was creeping into Colossae, Paul doesn't begin with criticism. He begins with prayer. He prays that believers would be filled with the knowledge of God's will, walk in spiritual wisdom, bear fruit in every good work, grow in their relationship with God, endure hardship, show patience with people, and give joyful thanks to the Father. The challenge is simple: Plant your feet where God has placed you. In your neighborhood. At your workplace. In your church. In your family. God has you where you are for a purpose. Growth doesn't happen by accident. It takes effort. Prayer. Scripture. Community. Service. Obedience. And when life gets hard, God provides the strength to endure difficult circumstances and show patience toward difficult people. Most importantly, Paul reminds us that our hope is not in our performance. Through Jesus Christ, the Father has already qualified us to share in His inheritance. Jesus is enough. #TogetherWeChurch #JesusIsEnough #Colossians #BibleTeaching #ChristianLiving
