This is a video of trains arriving and departing one after another at Kyoto Station on the JR Nara Line and Kyoto Line (Tokaido Main Line) during the evening rush hour on a weekday in Japan (from around 16:30 to 19:30). The video was taken from platforms 4 and 5, where JR Kyoto Line's special rapid service, rapid service, and local service stops, platforms 6 and 7, where limited express and rush-hour special rapid service stops, and platforms 8, 9, and 10 on the Nara Line. The video shows the Miyakoji rapid service, rapid service, and local service on the Nara Line, the special rapid service on the Kyoto Line, a local service that becomes rapid service from Takatsuki, a local service that stops at every station to Nishi-Akashi, and limited express trains "Thunderbird," "Kuroshio," "Hida," and "Rakuraku Harima," as well as freight trains. The crew training train "Maibara Training," with a diesel locomotive DD51 pulling passenger cars, was in operation, and it stopped for a few minutes at platform 6, where Kyoto Line's limited express and other trains stop, before departing.
