One bag of Ammonium sulfate contributes nitrogen (N) and sulfur (S) to support vegetative growth and overall plant health. Thirty kilogram Magnesium sulfate provides magnesium (Mg), a crucial macronutrient for chlorophyll synthesis and enzyme activation. 3. Split Application: • Divide the total fertilizer requirement into multiple applications throughout the growing season to match the crop's nutrient uptake and growth stages. • Apply a portion of the fertilizers at planting or shortly after planting to provide initial nutrients for establishment. • Schedule subsequent fertilizer applications based on crop growth stages, weather conditions, and soil nutrient availability. 4. Post-Canola Intercrop Fertilization: • After harvesting the canola intercrop, assess the nutrient status of the soil to determine if additional fertilization is needed for sugarcane. • Consider applying supplemental fertilizers as foliar application, especially 500 g Urea, 500 g Nitrophos 500 g Urea, 500 g magnesium sulphate and boric acid 100g to replenish nutrients removed by the canola crop and support sugarcane growth. • By following this fertilizer plan and incorporating proper cultural practices, you can optimize sugarcane growth, yield, and quality after harvesting a canola intercrop in September. Use approximately 1 part FYM, 0.1 parts urea, 0.1 parts jaggery, and 0.1 parts mustard cake meal as a starting point for the mixture. Adjust proportions based on specific nutrient requirements and soil conditions. Add water to the mixture to achieve a moist but not waterlogged consistency. Ensure thorough mixing to distribute nutrients evenly throughout the mixture. Incubation and Decomposition: Place the mixture in a covered container or compost pile to facilitate decomposition and microbial activity. Provide adequate aeration and moisture to support microbial growth and decomposition processes. Turn the compost pile regularly to enhance oxygen availability and accelerate decomposition. Allow the mixture to decompose for a period of several weeks to months, depending on environmental conditions and the desired level of decomposition.
