Allegro X ALPS by PHI - Walkaround

Hi All, After flying a few High EN B wings for a few years I decided to step into the EN C range and see how it compares to the B category. Although mainly flying on the coast with smooth laminar air and not taking the C wing inland as of yet. I find that this Allegro X-ALPS by PHI is Great as my introductory into the EN C category and I highly recommend this to a pilot that is doing over 100 hours a year and flying a lot of the time, this wing is not for a beginner or someone who has 100-300 hours of flying. The Pros and Cons of this wing are detailed below • Lightweight and great for hiking long distances • Due to lightweight material I can feel the burbles greater from other gliders and I can only imagine the thermal feeling on wing inland will be greater than the normal Allegro heavier version. • The rods in leading edge are not long and bulky and I can pack the wing up and not worry about bending rods and transforming the wing making my pack ups quick and easy. • It feels great in the brake area with not too much pressure and a great feel. • The Lines are smaller allowing less Parasitic drag and more performance. • The risers feel great, nice and sleek as well as easy to use when launching and landing. Cons: • The brake toggles have a sharp stitching in them so Phi needs to bring out more comfy toggles. • Price could be a little less - But we all want things cheaper :) • More colours would also be nice If you are thinking of buying one ask as many questions as you like in the comments I will answer honestly and as best as I can. I do love this wing and have only put on a few hours but each day I fly it, it feels like it just gets better and better.
