Cyclone Fina Sunday Recovery 23/11/2025

Darwin was spared from destruction as Cyclone Fina passed by 50km out to sea. As a Cat 3 storm system it still hit us pretty hard on Saturday night. Many trees were felled bringing down power lines with a loss of power for approximately 20,000 homes. The local residents had plenty of warning and were well prepared for the arrival of Cyclone Fina on Saturday. The community came together with help for who ever needed it. There were no injuries reported even with a partial roof collapse at the Royal Darwin Hospital. The clean up has begun and most homes have power restored. #cyclonefina #cyclone #darwin #tree
