.22-250 Factory Ammo Test with Model 70 Winchester ~ Surprising Results!
The grand old .22-250 has been synonymous with long--even extreme--range varminting since its introduction in 1937. Before its commercial adoption by Remington in 1965, it was affectionately known among wildcat enthusiasts as the .22-250 Varminter, and rightly so. For 86 years, no other cartridge has ever seriously challenged its throne, because it has it all: accuracy, flat trajectory, long barrel life, and very wide versatility for the handloader. Let's see how some currently produced factory ammo performs. Some did, one didn't, and there was one real gem in the group!
