ZILDJIAN K Paper Thin 18" 20" 21" 22" Crash Cymbals Soundcheck by Bryan Macaranas

Every now and then I get access to gear; specially of other brands that I wouldn't usually play since I endorse another (UFiP Cymbals). I was stoked to be able to get hold of some of the latest addition to the Zildjian K line of cymbals - the Paper Thin series of crashes! Made extra special and cool since these are Andy Strachan's (The Living End) personal cymbals, and fresh off the band recording their new album. I heard little hints and snippets of the new songs, stay tuned for that one. When these cymbals got released a few months ago, I immediately wanted to try them - I love thin / large cymbals. The true rockstar in this particular lot was the 21" Crash.....wow. I couldn't get enough. The 22" could also easily serve the job of a light ride / washy crash ride. Special mention also goes to Andy's 14" Kerope Hi-Hats. All dirty and patina-etched, sounds killer! So glad I was able to record these cymbals, check it!
