Today we continue with the fourth installment of our program Forgotten Histories: Organizations in Student Movements, which addresses various significant junctures in our country's history. From 1968, through 1971, 1986, 1999, 2012, and up to 2014. In this fourth episode, "1999: The Last Strike of the Century," we discuss the student strike that kept the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) closed for nine months, the relationships between the General Strike Council (CGH) and social and labor organizations, as well as the internal debates that shaped the movement's course, from diverse perspectives: personal, academic, and journalistic.
