The Last Days Of Halton Borough Transport

Halton Borough Transport (HBT) ceased trading on Friday 24 January, bringing to an end its 111 years of municipal operation. HBT collapsed and went into liquidation. Today an auction viewing was held at the HBT depot, Moor Lane Widnes. I went to see one last time, the buses which served the area so well for many years. Virtually everything in there was up for auction, buses, spare parts, workshop equipment, office desks and accessories, lockers, tables and much more. I took the opportunity to video and take pics of the buses and the premises, purely for nostalgic reasons and for the many people who travelled and worked on the buses in the past.
