Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni clashed with US President Donald Trump, and the American president literally had to be coaxed into speaking with Zelenskyy. The negotiations ultimately resulted in the White House accusing the Europeans of starting a war in Ukraine. The Europeans, meanwhile, decided to show the American leader that their choice was war.
