Lyrics Hmm … Parody of “Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm” performed by The Crash Test Dummies and written by Brad Roberts (Luke 19:11-27, Revelation 1:9-18, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18) Once there was this King who Got into an incident with those He'd come to rule, but When He finally came back His hair — had turned from blood red to bright white He'd said that He would come back Their party crashed so hard Hmm … Hmm … Once there was this world who Wouldn’t go and change when the Lord said to change soon, and When He finally came to Earth He saw — Earth's hearts were nowhere near ready They couldn’t quite explain it They'd always just sinned there Hmm … Hmm … Hmm … Hmm … The whole world can’t avoid the fact That one King said He would come back But then there was this core group There who'd prayed He'd come for them although that wasn't cool, and When He came for His church They looked — and searched all over the first floor They couldn't quite explain it They all were just gone there Hmm … Hmm … Hmm … Hmm … Ah ahhhh ahhh ah-ahhhh Ah ahhhh ahhh ah-ahhhh Ah ahhhh ahhh ah-ahhhh Ah ahhhh ahhh ah-ahhhh Luke 19:12-15 He said: “A man of noble birth went to a distant country to have himself appointed king and then to return. So he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas. ‘Put this money to work,’ he said, ‘until I come back.’ But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, ‘We don’t want this man to be our king.’ He was made king, however, and returned home. Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had gained with it."
