JUPEB Student Allegedly Scams Over 60 Students of ₦15 Million in Fake School Fees Scheme in Delta

A suspected JUPEB student of a university in Delta State has been arrested for allegedly defrauding more than 60 students in a fake school fees payment scheme amounting to approximately ₦15 million. According to the Delta State Police Command, the suspect allegedly posed as someone who could help students process their school fee payments with ease. Instead, he reportedly collected about ₦250,000 from each victim without remitting the funds to the institution. This case is a strong reminder for students to remain digitally aware and vigilant.
