Gearing Up for Striped Bass.

There are three fishing seasons here in the great state of Maine, Open water fishing, ice fishing and buying fishing tackle. I spent most of the winter stocking up on new lures for the early season sand eel/ herring spawn and the big boom of bunker that hit mid-summer. I struggled from the surf last season, with stripers eating small bait that I was unable to replicate. But I was futurate enough to come across one of the legendary feeds mid-summer, where a big school of stripers trapped a school of bunker in open water and the top water action was amazing. This video covers the additions to my lure collection that I hope will help me catch fish in both of these situations.
