One Life to Live 2/22/1989

At Fraternity Row, Audrey tells Mari Lynn not to lose hope for her and Wade. Neil says Audrey is just giving her false hope and that it’s clear Wade has left her for Christine. Mari Lynn insists she can’t give up on Wade yet, especially since he couldn’t have sent back her wedding ring if he’s been underground in Eterna for days. Neil gets Casey to say he found the ring under some things in her dressing room, so he could have left it there before. On Llantano Mountain, the men are ready to lower an amplifier into the drilled hole to try and get a better signal from Eterna. Down below, Cord continues to work on the radio, despite Michael insisting they need all hands on deck digging for the river. Clint tries sending a message to Eterna and asks for a reply, but Cord and Michael are too busy arguing to hear. As Cord continues to tinker with the radio, they hear Clint speaking, but they can’t make out the message. Roger tells Viki more about what happened after the explosion, including finding Niki Smith in New York and Victor threatening to take his daughter away if he didn’t stay silent. Roger admits he has held those feelings for Viki for 25 years, and he kisses her. Shortly after, Wade comes in to announce the radio is working, and everyone gathers in the control room. Clint and Cord are able to hear each other loud and clear, and all the people above and below rejoice.
