🔴A fierce war between military and political elites is unfolding in the rear. The article by the Chief of Staff Oleksandr Syrsky “My Work is War” in “Military” was supposed to calm society, but it raised even more questions. In his article, Syrsky even apologized to Fedorov. But the dismissed minister is still going all-in, rejecting all the proposals of the President’s Office regarding compromise positions and demanding only a return to the chair of the Ministry of Defense. Meanwhile, the role of Andriy Yermak, who lobbied for the removal of Fedorov as a dangerous political competitor and demonstratively visited the Chief of Staff at the front immediately after the personnel decisions, is clearly visible. Despite the General Staff’s attempts to seize the initiative, Syrsky’s manifesto did not stop the fire: large-scale street protests in support of Fedorov and for the resignation of the Chief of Staff continue in Kyiv, Odessa, Sumy, and Kharkiv.
