This church, which marketed itself as a safe place for young people, a community built on pop music and huge events, hid dark secrets within its leadership. The church was founded by Brian Houston and his wife, Bobbie Houston, in 1983 in Sydney, Australia. Initially called Hills Christian Life Center, headed by Frank Houston, Brian's father, it was a small congregation that grew exponentially when Brian took over. Brian and Bobbie had a truly brilliant idea: they didn't set up the church like other congregations, but rather gave it a completely new feel. First of all, it was a rather modern church; there was no dress code for mass; everyone could dress and, above all, be who they wanted. The church's slogan was "welcome home, just as you are." They immediately presented themselves as a space, a place of understanding. Brian Houston went to the United States and studied the various churches there, and this trip led to the transformation of Hillsong Church. The five key factors in the prosperity of Hillsong Church were: 1. The church, whose cornerstone was prosperity theology, meaning that if you accept Jesus into your life, you will prosper not only spiritually but also financially. 2. Concerts 3. CD sales: the development of the record label had allowed Hillsong to sell its own songs, and this had brought in a huge influx of money because the songs they produced were as good as modern, mainstream pop. 4. The university. 5. Cinema: they even began producing films for Church propaganda. 6. Conferences, these mega conferences that obviously also included concerts, where the word of God was absolutely spoken, but it was alternated with discos, concerts, and parties. It was an ideal place for young people. 👥 I didn't do it all alone, so I'd like to thank these wonderful people for adding details to my videos: THE CHANNEL: ➡️ Music: @blackrice   / blackri.ce   __________________________________________________________ ANIMATION: Elena Scaldalai: Project Portfolio - https://www.behance.net/elenascaldalai Instagram Profile -   / scaldalai.elena   TikTok Profile -   / scaldalai.elena   ___________________________________________________________ ___ DIGITAL PORTRAITS OF MY CATS: @enry_dn   / enry_dn   @enry_ps https://www.tiktok.com/@enry_ps?_t=8a... ____________________________________________________________ HANDMADE MANDALAS @danila_almalibre   / danila_almalibre   __________________________________________________________ PICTURE OF MY CAT OZZY: @Sabrina Spina:   / sabridipinti   ____________________________________________________________ LOGO: ➡️ @kevinlamacchia   / kevinlamacchia   ➡️ @studio.tin   / studio.tin   ____________________________________________________________ CHANNEL COVER: ➡️ @pietro.rowgnus   / pietro.rowgnus   ____________________________________________________________ CROCHET FLORAL DECORATIONS @gori_creazione   / gori_creazioni   And thank you to all of you too, there are always more of you and you are wonderful ❤️
