Imagine you are a child. You've never known your dad. Your mom got hooked on drugs and signed you over as a ward of the state. After living with about a million foster families, you finally end up in a group home with bars on the windows and locks on the doors. You turn 18 years old today. Guess what you get? A 20 dollar bill and a taxi ride to the homeless shelter. Happy birthday, Nobody's Child. Let's work together to provide solutions to the problems facing kids aging out of the foster care system.
