İstanbul Edebiyatı'nda Bir İstanbul Klasiği: Selim İleri

In the "Back Room Meetings: Istanbul Literature" series, Haydar Ergülen hosted a classic of Istanbul, Selim İleri, on Thursday, April 12th. The topic of conversation was Selim İleri's Istanbul... İleri, who won the Aydın Doğan Grand Prize with his latest book, "The Istanbul I Live In," is practically creating a "Istanbul Literature" all by himself. The author, who has 8 books on Istanbul, deserves to be called an "Istanbul Classic." İleri, who states that he sees himself as a "dinosaur" amidst the skyscrapers and "residences" of today's Istanbul, described his own Istanbul – its writers, coffee houses, pastry shops, seasons, neighborhoods, streets, people, flowers, films, food, manners, and refinements. Those who missed the Back Room Meeting can watch it here.
