XC Track Einsteiger Tutorial Teil 2 "Widgets" zu Version 0.9.12.5

This tutorial covers necessary and useful widgets suitable for creating pages for standard flights at your local mountain as well as for shorter cross-country flights. ++Attention++ Release Candidate 1 (RC1) version 1.0.0 is now available, and therefore some explanations are no longer accurate, some settings have been upgraded, and some are entirely new. To avoid misunderstandings, please also watch the corresponding videos for Release Candidate 1.0.0. In Part 2, we will also revisit the technical requirements and possibilities in the intro. While Part 1 dealt with system and application settings—and the explanations were rather objective, simple, and static—Part 2 will differ. Some of the following explanations and examples will be more subjective. This is not for self-promotion. Rather, it stems from the fact that the developers do not always provide comprehensive application information. Therefore, I will try to explain these gaps clearly through my own interpretation. Release Candidate 1.0.0 is not for self-promotion. Contrary to the original announcement, we will unfortunately not be starting to create our first pages in this tutorial. For that, please refer to the XC Track Beginner Tutorial Part 2, "Creating Pages." Corrections & Additions: 1:33:36 If you have the time displayed in the status bar, please note that the background changes from yellow to white as soon as a GPS signal is available. Yellow indicates system time, i.e., the time of your phone. White means that a GPS signal is available and the time is being adjusted according to your location. In most cases, you will already have this setting enabled in your phone's system settings. Therefore, this will not have any negative impact. The yellow background for "Live" and "SafeSky" indicates that you are not logged into XContest or that there is no connection (mobile data). 35:00 The AGL widget can only display correct data if the corresponding terrain maps are installed. ``` 47:00 The "Thermal Assistant" widget must be clearly distinguished from the "Thermal Assistant" page template. If you configure the "Automatic Actions" options so that this page is displayed when you rotate the page, this will only work if you are using this page template. If you create a blank page and insert the "Thermal Assistant" widget there, no automatic action will occur when rotating the page. The "Thermal Assistant" widget will not display this automatic action.
