Buffed Flames Mod Showcase Run (Dragon + Hyper Launcher) - Nuclear Throne

Run starts at 0:44 Flame weapons in Nuclear Throne have always had the reputation of being terrible picks for your run since they barely do any damage at all. Flamethrower doesn't really have a situation where you'll ever seriously pick it up, Dragon is better but struggles against big enemies, and Flame Cannon is just a joke, unless you're playing that old version where it could kill the Throne in a single shot. I've always wanted flame weapons to be buffed in some way. Luckily the community has solved that problem. This run uses Golden Epsilon's Tweaks mod that contains a buff for flames, where flames that touch an enemy will also reduce the duration of their iframes. This means that instead of dealing damage every 6 frames (with a bit extra random damage because Vlambeer), you'll deal more damage the more flames you stack. For the Dragon this means that it turns into a really great crowd weapon that's actually usable in all areas of the game, and it also becomes a beast at dealing with single targets at close range. This doesn't make it overpowered though, and there's still a lot of better choices out there, but it brings it up to par with some of the better weapons that the game has to offer. You can't just mindlessly rush things and kill everything with it and expect that nothing willl happen to you, but you have enough power to melt down levels at a pretty fast pace.
