DOOL 4/3/2009 Will Roberts (Dylan Patton) scenes
Java Cafe - Part 1: Mia joins Will and tells him she registered for school today. She starts classes next week. Will thinks that is great. Mia notices that he looks kind of bummed right now. He's in a weird mood - he's trying to wrap his head around something his mom did. She adopted a baby and brought her home last night. Will says the bottom line is that her kids need her right now - he means the little ones - and this just throws everything off. Mia is sure his mother had a good reason. Will scoffs - his mother doesn't need a good reason to do anything. Mia asks him what his baby sister looks like. He shrugs - he wasn't paying any attention. Mia tells him he can't act like that - you can't like you don't care, she'll know. Will says she won't know, she's a baby. Mia tells him babies have feelings - they can sense things. She wants him to promise her that whatever happens he'll be good to that little girl. They're family now and nothing is more important than that. Will says she's right. Mia - you have to love her - you just have to. Will says he will take care of the new baby - it was just so sudden and unexpected - he wasn't ready for it. Mia - you don't get to plan everything that happens in life. That's not the way it works. Will has a free period now. He'll go and see the baby if she comes with him. Will comes home and introduces Mia. Sami says we met - not officially - they just ran into each other - it's nice to meet her. She asks why they are out of school so early. Mia tells her she's not in school right now - she starts next week. Will has a free period. He thought he'd drop by and show Mia his new baby sister. Sami hugs him - that means a lot to her. Will asks if he can show Mia around the place. Sami says sure. Will asks if she has a plan on her phone to call Europe because he promised Aunt Carrie and Uncle Austin that he'd stay in touch. Will and Mia return - he asks where the twins are. Sami tells him they are with Grandma Caroline. She asks Will if he could stay with Grace for a little bit. Mia says of course they can. Will asks her what she has to do. She's going to talk to EJ about Johnny's preschool. He asks her if she doesn't think this can wait. No she doesn't. Mia stands back from the cradle - Will tells her she can come closely - he's pretty sure she doesn't bite. Grace starts crying so Will tells her to stop crying. Mia doesn't think that will work - she tells him to rock the cradle - he does but much too quickly. Mia takes over and Grace settles down and smiles at her. When she starts fussing again - Mia gives Will a rattle for her to play with. When she won't take it she tells Will he's going to have to pick her up. He picks up Grace and she stops crying - Will asks Mia if she'd like to hold her
