America Thought Canada Would Come Back. It Isn't Happening

US Tourism Decline is not just about fewer Canadians crossing the border. It is about trust. For years, Canadians were predictable. Long weekend? Go to the States. Need cheaper gas? Cross the border. Want sun? Florida, Arizona, Las Vegas, Hawaii, maybe California. It was automatic. But now that habit has been broken. In this video, I talk about why America thought Canada would eventually come back, why some U.S. business owners still think this is just “hype,” and why I believe the old Canada is gone. This is not just about trade, tariffs, China EVs, CUSMA, or politics. This is about everyday Canadians deciding where to shop, where to travel, where to spend money, and whether the United States still feels safe, welcoming, and worth supporting. Canadians are buying Canadian, travelling differently, looking at other countries, and asking a question many of us probably should have asked years ago. Why did we spend so much money there? The United States may still think Canadians will return to Florida, Arizona, Las Vegas, Hawaii, Buffalo, Bellingham, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, and other border towns like nothing happened. But that old automatic loyalty is damaged and once Canadians start changing their habits, it is going to be very hard for America to get that old Canada back. e-7319 (Foreign affairs) https://www.ourcommons.ca/petitions/e...
