Deva Dintr-un Alt Unghi: Telecabina, Parcul și Palatul Magna Curia Îți Dezvăluie Secretele Orașului!

Today we invite you to join us on a captivating journey through the history and culture of the city of Deva, under the guidance of our guide, Alex Boldor, from the Deva 360 Association! 🏰✨ We start the tour at the foot of the city's symbol, the Citadel of Deva, where we admire the cable car that goes up to the fortress, the stadium and the water park. From here, we head to the Cetate Municipal Park, a green area with historical significance, an integral part of Deva and the place where culture and history harmoniously blend. In the park, you will discover representative statues of Mihai Eminescu and Decebal, a summer pavilion that brings local music to life, and an open-air library, offering a place to relax for the future. We pass by the "Cetate" Sports High School, where prominent personalities of Romanian gymnastics were trained, such as Nadia Comăneci and Gina Gogean, symbols of national pride. At the edge of the park we discover the house of Petru Groza, a remarkable political leader of Romania, a building that stands out for a unique architectural element: the roof-terrace, offering a unique panorama of the surroundings. The tour continues with the Magna Curia Palace, the oldest building in Deva, built in the 17th century, which today houses the Museum of Dacian and Roman Civilization. In the palace courtyard, we explore the lapidarium – a rare collection of Roman artifacts exhibited outdoors, which recreate the atmosphere of a fascinating historical period. We enter the old pedestrian center of the city, recently rehabilitated, with cobblestone streets and well-maintained historical buildings. On the route, we admire the monument dedicated to Queen Maria, which pays homage to this emblematic figure, and we stop in front of the County Council and the Prefecture, an impressive architectural ensemble, where history and administration meet in the most elegant way. We arrive at Unirii Square, a vibrant space where modern culture and tradition coexist, and admire the street art that pays homage to Nadia Comăneci, a moving tribute to the famous gymnast. We move further to the new city center, where the imposing equestrian statue of Decebal is located, guarded by cafes, restaurants and the Casa de Cultură a Deva, an important cultural point of the city, with two performance halls that frequently host artistic and cultural events.
