Full-Power vs. Light EMTB: Does a light-assist e-bike even make sense anymore? 🤔 After over six years on beefy full-power EMTBs (Shimano EP8, SRAM Powertrain), I asked myself this very question. The lines are blurring more and more – does sacrificing torque for less weight still make sense in terms of performance? To find out, I put the latest Propain Sresh SL with the extremely quiet TQ HPR60 motor (580 Wh battery) through its paces on my local trails and a sick jump line in Sasbachwalden. The result after the long-term test?
