I Refinished My Guitar for Like $25

In this video I refinished my guitar for about $25 using nothing but regular spray paint from the hardware store. The guitar originally had the old-school tobacco sunburst, but it didn’t match the unconventional vibe of a 9-string microtonal monster… so I repainted it and tried to create a quick DIY black to purple sunburst effect. It’s not a professional (or perfect) finish, but for a couple cans of paint and a couple hours of work, the result is pretty cool — and definitely fits this guitar way better. If you’re curious what this “budget refinish” looks like, or you just enjoy watching guitars get questionable-but-charming makeovers, this one’s for you!
