We tell the story of the forest fire in 2018 on East Redonda Island. Discussion and demonstration of underwater breathing systems for boat cleaning. The boat is due for its annual cleaning of the sub surface components and zinc replacements. About Us MV Makena Kai is a cruising style boating channel involving adventure, raising children and challenges that take place aboard a cruising type boat. We showcase geographical areas in the Pacific Northwest (Northern Puget Sound) and Southwest British Columbia (Vancouver Island/inside passage). One day we hope to travel much further to Alaska and beyond.
