The Gorilla Bazooka 882XHS finally debuted at the fishing show. When creating LONGIN's first rod, we felt that the 9.6-foot length was absolutely essential for fishing in vast open fields and reeling. The Gorilla Bazooka GB-962XHS was born from our pursuit of a length that would allow for all-day casting while maximizing casting distance, and the ability to bend and follow the entire rod when fighting large fish. However, we also felt that the physical length of 9.6 feet posed a problem. We began developing this model six months after development of the 962XHS began, aiming to create a rod that would be truly easy to use and satisfy our needs in such situations. We conducted repeated testing mainly in the small to medium-sized rivers and harbors around our company, the same fields familiar to inner-bay anglers. The result was the 882XHS, which maintains the Gorilla Bazooka concept of a lure weight limit of 100g max and around 10g min, while offering the same feel as the 962XHS despite its 8.8ft length. The 882XHS has a little more tension from the belly to the tip, adding rebound power, improving accuracy when casting pinpoints in structure or light and shade, and is designed for delicate fishing such as the lift-and-fall of small vibes and sinking pencils, as well as maneuverability with topwaters and minnows. Its length also allows for casting without sacrificing distance, even in deep wading or situations where a takeback is difficult.
