Use a screwdriver to spin it and remove any leaves or debris. 6. Check the union at the front and on top of the pump housing. Replace the o-ring if torn. Remove the valve and check the 90s for debris and remove using a screwdrive, water bladder, or plumber's snake 9. Water level is to be 1/3 - 1/2 up from the bottom of the skimmer 10. Skimmer weir should move freely 11. Skimmer basket is clean 12. If you suspect a clog in the skimmer line you can use a water bladder 13. Last is to call in a leak detection company. You may have a suction side leak.
