while Hisashi is a licensed hired hunter doing full-time hunting, hired for protection and teaching people to hunt. He has to stay 2-3 months to teach, so Izuku barely sees him. One day, Hisashi took him for a hunting trip in the forest; he taught Izuku how to shoot a hunting rifle, how to track, and how to hunt. Hisashi and Izuku went to track a deer in the forest. Izuku successfully brought down a deer, and while Hisashi was admiring and complimenting his son's hunt, an Asiatic black bear came out of nowhere and attacked them. Izuku is watching a bear walking towards Hisashi; something deep inside him awakens—his Quirk. His body suddenly transformed into a dinosaur called Daspletosaurus, and Izuku took down the bear to save his father. After a day of a "hunting trip gone wrong," Hisashi and Inko brought Izuku to a quirk doctor to check and find out that he had a quirk, which Izuku named in the future "Primal Genesis."
