Steppin' Time - If I Only Had A Brain

Hello from your friends at Music Theatre Wichita! Whether your children are learning in-person at school, have been sent to the land of remote online learning, or you are a homeschooling family - at Music Theatre Wichita we recognize that learning is different these days! Your children might need a little distraction from their routines, and as the weather grows colder you might want to get out some of that extra energy! We have a gift for you. Music Theatre Wichita’s Steppin’ Time, designed for elementary aged students. In 10 or 15 minutes you and your students or children can take a vacation from learning and visit either Paris, London, or escape to a cornfield to learn a little dance we’ve prepared for you. Our Artistic Director, Brian J. Marcum (with the help of his daughter, Sophie) will help you get out the wiggles, learn a little dance, and have some fun. You don’t need any special clothes or shoes… we just ask that you get up and move!! May this little gift bring some levity and joy into your classroom and home during these most unusual days of learning. And if you have the time to further their interest in the music of these dances perhaps you can incorporate a watching of some, if not all, of Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, and The Wizard of Oz.
