Craig L. Symonds: “War on Opposite Sides of the World: Eisenhower, Nimitz and the Second World War”
On April 24, 2025, The Pell Center partnered with the Salve Regina University History Department to welcome Dr. Craig L. Symonds, who delivered the 7th-annual John E. McGinty Lecture in History, "War on Opposite Sides of the World: Eisenhower, Nimitz, and the Second World War." Symonds examined Dwight Eisenhower and Chester Nimitz's respective commands of the two most critical theaters of the Second World War and the challenges they faced as they orchestrated victory over their foes. We thank the McGinty family for their continued support of undergraduate student research in history and for making this annual lecture possible.
