Muel Repowering GES RWE

This is how a wind farm repowering project is carried out. In this case, it is the Muel Wind Farm, located in Muel, Aragon, where 27 turbines with more than 25 years of service life are being replaced by three state-of-the-art turbines that will increase the efficiency, installed capacity and sustainability of the wind farm. This video shows the different works carried out in the repowering process, in which GES - Global Energy Services is responsible for the civil engineering works on roads, assembly platforms, wind turbine foundations and medium-voltage network installation, as well as the upgrading of the electrical substation and the restoration of landscape vegetation in the farm after the removal of the old turbines. The Muel repowering project receives funding from the Recovery and Resilience Facility, established by Regulation (EU) 2021/241 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 February 2021, through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan - financed by the European Union - NextGeneration.
