4K Handycam take on the old Historic Otis Traction Elevator at Battle Hall of UT Austin!
Filmed on March 23, 2018: It has been 2 years since I have seen this piece of beauty. I finally got a 4K Handycam of this amazing gem! I love the motor starting up, you could clearly hear it from the top floor. Also, that includes the relays. Also, please don't attempt what I did towards the end of the video as I didn't know better when I took this video that reversing the elevator instantly is really hard on the system. Wait for about 2-3 seconds after the elevator stops before starting it up again. But enjoy! :D Installed in 1919, modernized in 1951.
