This time they've created a course teaching people how to become "promotable." According to corporate wisdom, if you just communicate better, network harder, embrace AI, use leadership language, and become the perfect employee, you'll finally get that promotion you've been waiting for. There's just one problem. Promotions aren't entirely up to you, or at all really. In this video we take a look at LinkedIn's Learning to Be Promotable course and break down the corporate advice, buzzwords, networking culture, office politics, and promotion myths that employees are constantly fed. Because no matter how many courses you take, certifications you earn, or leadership books you read, the final decision usually comes down to budgets, management decisions, office politics, timing, and whether the company actually wants to promote you. If you've ever watched someone work harder than everyone else and still get passed over for a promotion, then this one's for you.
